Career: Started in the camera department of Pinewood Studios in 1956. Went freelance in 1959.

Regular cinematography tutor at the London Film Academy. Teaches Film & Digital Cinematography at the Met Film School, Ealing Studios, London. Gave Masterclasses at the University of Greenwich.
Member [now honorary accredited] and former president [1994-95] of the BSC. Fellow of the British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society [BKSTS].
