Born: 1 January 1938, Funabashi, Chiba, Japan. A.k.a.: Shôji Ueda, Shosi Ueda & Syoji Ueda.

Career: Was member of the cinematographers' panel on Cinematographer's Day at the Bangkok IFF, 2004.
