Died: 9 February 2016, Tucson, Arizona, USA.

Education: Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

Career: Ran a commercial design studio. Moved to Hollywood in 1957 and worked in the mailroom at Fox. Moved to the camera department of 20th Century-Fox as camera loader. His first feature job was as 2nd c.asst on 'The Young Lions'.

Was a member of the ASC since 1986.

His son Donald Jr. [born 1957] is a doph/dir, and son Jeffrey [born 1961] is a c.asst.
