  HARRY STRADLING Jr.

 

Born: 7 January 1925, Yonkers, N.Y., USA., as son of doph Harry Stradling Sr. [1901-1970].

Died: 17 October 2017, Motion Picture Home, Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, Calif., USA.

Career: During the 1940's, he worked as c.asst with Robert Surtees at MGM. Became doph on 7 July 1964.

Was a member of the ASC since 1968.

His great uncle, Walter Ernest Stradling [1875-1918], was a doph working with Mary Pickford.

His sons John and Michael are c.asst.

Awards: 'Oscar' AA nom [1972] for '1776'; 'Oscar' AA nom [1974] for 'The Way We Were'; 'Emmy' Award nom [1984] for 'George Washington' [Part 2].
