Born: ?, Prague, Czechoslovakia.

Career: Left Czechoslovakia with his brother in 1966 and moved to Vienna, Austria, then Munich, West-Germany. Moved to the USA in the 1970s. Started as technician at General Camera Corporation in New York. Later served as a cameraman on PBS-tv documentaries and dramas.

Member of the ASC since 1999.

Awards: AFI Fest 'Kodak Vision Award' [2000] for 'Gangster No. 1'.
