Education: Swinburne School of Film and Television, Swinburne University of Technology [graduated 1975].

Career: After ph 'Queensland' [1976], he secured a job as c.asst with Fred Schepisi's prod company 'Film House'.

Ph and directed [for Renault, a.o.] commercials.

Mentor in workshops organized by the Australian Film Commission, e.g. Dramatically Black Workshop [2003] and Test Drive [2005 & 2006]. Conducted workshops at the Bayside Film Festival [2005] and at the Filmmaking Summer School, Parkville, Victoria [2009].

Member of the ACS since 1994. His son Ellery is a c.asst.

Appeared/interviewed in ep doc series 'ACS Video Series'.
