Born: 18 February 1971, Mountain Lakes, NJ, USA, as Matthew Todd Irving.
Education: Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif. [BA in English & Communications]; University of Southern California's School of Cinema/Television [USC] [MFA in 1996].
Career: Began shooting Super-8mm movies with his older brother Rick at the age of nine. Migrated West to San Francisco where he took part in an internship at Lucasfilm's spec efx facility, Industrial Light and Magic. Prod, dir & ph 16mm short films in San Francisco. Moved to Los Angeles and studied at the USC.
Married to dir/prod and actress Cindy Baer [2005-present].
