MIKE FASH

Born: 29 April 1940, New Malden, Surrey, UK, as Michael Fash.

Education: Richmond Art School [Portrait Painting]; London University [Photography].

Career: Was accepted into the BBC training program finally specializing in Film. After several years and after becoming a doph, he left the BBC and formed his own company. Worked for Thames Television and ph many tv-doc's and tvm's. Moved into commercials and feature films. As more and more of his work became based in the USA he emigrated with his family to New England basing himself out of New York. He launched his own commercials company.

Now lives in Los Angeles and taught at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Also active as director.

Was a member [now honorary member] of the BSC.

Awards: BAFTA TV Award nom [1978] for 'The One and Only Phyllis Dixey'; 'Emmy' Award nom [1979-80; shared] for 'A Movie Star's Daughter'.
