Died: 26 May 1968, Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, Calif., USA.

Education: University of Southern California [mining engineering].

Career: Joined First National as c.asst in 1921. Was under contract to Fox Film and Twentieth Century Fox for most of his career.

Was a member of the ASC.

Awards: 'Oscar' AA nom [1958; b&w] for 'The Young Lions'; 'Oscar' AA nom [1960; color] for 'Pepe'; 'Oscar' AA [1966; color] for 'The Sand Pebbles'.
